I forgot I had these two fabrics in my stash. They are part of Erin McMorris’s Park Slope fabric collection, which she describes as “springtime walk in a modern garden.” I read somewhere that she designed this collection when she was living in Park Slope, which is a beautiful neighborhood in Brooklyn. I think I ordered them from an etsy fabric shop, but I don’t remember which one or what project I had in mind.
I love all the whimsical bird fabric on the market now, and the floral dots fabric on the left compliments these particular birds quite nicely. I especially like the mix of spring colors with these fabrics – peach, purple and pink. After ready Amy’s post about her cozy camera case tutorial, and finding inspiration by the cute bird fabric she used, I knew that was exactly the project these fabrics were destined for. I got started right away!
Here’s the pocket on the back, which holds an extra memory card:
I don’t have many orange fabrics in my stash, but I love how this camera case turned out. (It looks a little misshapen in these photos because I couldn’t put my camera inside while taking a picture. Trust me!) I definitely need to find something else fun to make with the extra fabric I have left.

Oh my gosh, that’s really cute! Was it very hard to make? I might just try this. How do you find all these great tutorials??
Very cute! The Park Slope fabrics are so cheerful!
Cute bag. I love orange. I keep wanting to get a fitting for my snap press for the pearl snaps, such a nice touch.
Practical and pretty! I have been playing with some Park Slope this week too.

Love those colors! And the birds are so sweet. I can’t sew to save my life, but I love watching the process.
Great camera pouch. I really like the memory card holder…I’m always losing mine.
