I Need Another Day!

How many times have you found yourself wishing for another day on the weekend?! I didn’t make as much progress on my sewing projects as I had hoped, meaning I didn’t finish anything, so I wish I could have another day!

I did finish machine quilting my zigzag quilt, and now I’m sewing on the binding. I think it turned great, so I can’t wait to finish it and show you.

I managed to piece at least half of the strips for the quilt along.

And I never had time to work on the mini quilt for the swap!

All that said, we still had a nice weekend. We picked out frames for art work we bought a couple years ago, my cousin had a dinner party on Saturday night, and then we watched a movie.  Finally, on Sunday, I had time to work on my projects. Life can’t always be all about sewing!  (better get to work now.)

  1. All these teaser pics of that zig zag quilt are killing me! I’ve got my quilt along blocks laid out on the living room floor as we speak. How did you like that movie? My husband watched it, but I was afraid it wasn’t for me, so I spent time sewing as he watched. Have a good week!

  2. I definitely need another day…or two weekends per week! But I think things will settle down now that school is out! Can’t wait to see your finished quilt!

  3. Why can’t life just be about sewing? I know that my job always gets in the way of what I want to do!

Love how the quilt is coming out! I can’t wait to see the finished product!!!!

Sounds like you had the right amount of balance in your weekend!

  6. I can’t wait to see your finished zig zag quilt! Sewing on the binding is always one of my favorite parts of making a quilt, too.

Oh, yes, an extra day would make the weekend perfect!

  7. You had a busy weekend! Can’t wait to see your Zig Zag quilt. The quilting looks interesting. Hope you get some more sewing times soon!
