Yippee, it’s Saturday. My favorite day of the week!
I have some vacation time that I have to start using up so I don’t lose it at the end of the year, so I took a day off on Friday and worked on some Christmas projects for my little shop. I savored each moment of my day off so much that I wasn’t as productive as I thought I would be, so my projects aren’t done enough to share final pictures yet. Soon, though.
Today completes my NINTH week of working out! I started a new workout routine on September 14, with 20 minutes on the elliptical, 100 crunches, and 20 minutes of weight training three days a week, and here I am NINE weeks later, still going strong. My primary goal was to get in shape and tone up a bit. Now my clothes are a little bit looser (yay!), and I feel great to the point where I think I would be upset if I missed a workout day. (My knees are especially happy because I have rheumatoid arthritis and the best remedy is exercise.)
Another great thing about Saturday is my favorite tv show is on tonight. You may not know that I am a HUGE fan of Saturday Night Live. By the way, did anyone else watch last weekend’s show, with Taylor Swift as the host and musical guest? Her monologue was hilarious and her digital short, which was a spoof on Twilight, was even funnier. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to hyperventilate. I don’t know who the host is this week, but I am still looking forward to a few good laughs.
Here’s to hoping you savor every moment of your Saturday!
Great job on the workout routine! Keep it up! I’ve found that the most important thing is finding something that you like well enough to keep up with, whatever it is. Way to go!
So nice to learn a little bit more about you Terri. I have been a fan of SNL since the beginning, but I rarely watch it these days. Although my son will alert me to funny skits and I watch them later via the internet.
It’s great to hear how successful your working out has been. I have been trying to get back into a routine for a while, but haven’t really gotten into a groove yet. But this morning I made up my mind that I’ve just got to make it work, and then I read about your success. Well, it’s just encouraging. I CAN do it! I just need to make it happen. Good job to you and keep it up 🙂

I am impressed with your workout routine. I think you have made it a habit. The experts say it takes 30 days. Good for you!! I really need to exercise and you inspire me! Keep up the good work.
Terri! More we have in common!! Love SNL and started working out at a gym a month ago. I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one still watching SNL after all these years. Who Knew?!!
Congrats to you on your new workout routine. I, too, started working out about the same time you did! I got a trainer to help me kick start the habit, and it worked! I’m glad it’s helping your arthritis. My grandma has rheumatoid arthritis, so I know how awful it can be.
I LOVED Taylor Swift on SNL…she’s amazing! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for your little shop!!
Congratulations on keeping up on the workout! It becomes addicting, once you keep going! I can’t wait to see what you’ve made for your shop! Love the pictures of your yard!
Good job with the workout!
I haven’t watched SNL since the Gilda Radner days!
Cute gift bags in your shop:)
They are wonderful! I love your fabric choices. I need to start taking time off at work too or I’ll lose it as well. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
P.S. I love all the little benches & chairs in your yard.
