Check this out – I downloaded my shop logo to Spoonflower, and ordered a swatch to see how they would turn out as labels to sew inside my patchwork products.
It took me awhile to figure out how to do this, but I think I got the hang of it using Picnik to size my logo. I really love how they turned out, size and color, so I ordered a fat quarter. Each label measures 2 inches x 2 inches, which is a pretty good size for labeling my merch.
I’m hoping to try a sketch with Spoonflower one of these days!
what a great idea, terri! can’t wait til you are producing your own line! 🙂
Looks good!
They look great Terri :0)
Really great labels Terri:) I thought about getting some from them too in the future.
Your Spoonflower labels turned out great! I like the way you personalize your products.
They look great…and what a good idea! Someday when I have time I’d like to learn to design on Spoonflower…have no idea how to start, though!
What (another) great idea! I’ve been really aware of how nice it is to know that Spoonflower is there, just in case.
This is so brilliant! I’m in a position where I desperately need to do some labels and haven’t figured out yet what I’m going to do. This might work for me as well (though I’m afraid it will be too slow at this point, I’ve procrastinated so long!).
I LOVE Spoonflower! ANNND they are about 45 minutes from my house. Can you believe that? The owner is in my Modern Quilt Guild Chapter and she’s AMAZING. 🙂
what a great idea! I should try downloading my Sewing on the Edge logo.
What a wonderful idea! If I ever get my shop back going again I will have to try it out. I have been really wanting to attempt some Spoonflower fabric but am too afraid it will turn out weird or something. I can sketch things alright but putting them in digital form scares me. 🙂
They look great Terri, good idea to add a label to your products. Your customers won’t forget where they got your beautiful items.
Those are really neat. You do need to put labels in your items. You are a great thinker. I guess thats why you go to school!!! I just need to remember what I think. My mind just can’t seem to remember things these days. I really like those.
They turned out nicely! Good thinking! You should put your sketches to fabric. . .but I’ll need some, you know!
Dearest terri, it looks great and such fun!! They do make such wonderful pretty labels!! I am such a huge fan of spoonflower ~ aaaa im inspired to make another fabric design. Have a lovely merry happy weekend and love to yoU!
Love that idea! How did you do the repeat like that? Did you do that in Picnik?
Most inspired way to have your labels printed! They are the perfect finishing touch for your projects.
I just tried a pattern design with spoonflower and received my swatch yesterday and thought ‘hey, i could use this to design some fabric labels for my products as well’! Then I saw your post, great!!! I will plug away today to get my labels design finalized and submitted for printing.
