And Then the Sun Came Out

I try really hard not to complain about anything, especially winter weather.

I am so happy to report that the sun came out!

I love the shadows cast across the snowy yard.

I also love to follow the trails created by various wildlife, mainly rabbits, I suspect.

It’s very very cold out there today, but I’m going to venture out anyway. I have lots of homework to get done this weekend, so I hope the sun keeps pouring those rays into the house, especially warming my sewing room which has become my art studio too. I also look forward to working on a new page for my art journal.

Stay warm my northern friends, and cherish your sunshine and warmer temps, my southern friends.

  1. Oh, I love the shadows on the snow, too! I took some similar photos today! Ha ha!

I hope you keep that sun for a while… it’s supposed to get really cold up there, isn’t it? Like arctic-cold!

Have fun outside, but stay warm… I’ve been inside for about 10 minutes and I’m STILL defrosting! (Feels like 17 F out now because of the windchill.)

Your tracks look like something bigger… deer, maybe? Or a moose? What other big creatures do you have up there? Have fun!!

  2. Thanks for sharing the snow photo’s, it’s looks so beautiful! I’m happy to hear you have some sunshine to brighten your day. I know all to well how the cold and snow can drag on and wear on you.

  3. Ok. I’ll admit it. The sunshine on the snow IS really pretty. (I can’t believe I said that!) However, I’m still glad that it is YOU and not ME 😉 Enjoy the sunshine and have a WONDERFUL weekend!

  4. Beautiful photos – the sun on the snow creating those long shadows looks so tranquil. Have a great weekend in your studio and hope you get most of your homework done.

  5. Great photos! I love, love, love the first day of sunshine after a big snowstorm. Everything is so white and bright and the snow looks like glitter. 🙂
If we have old bread or crackers we always crumble it and toss it off our back porch for the birds and bunnies that wander around. We enjoy looking at the tracks they leave too.

  6. I am so glad the sun came out for you today. It will help you be creative this weekend and it will give you energy. Everyone needs a little sunshine.
I love your photos ,you take such good ones. Postcard like.
    Thankyou for sharing.

  7. Hello Terri,

I hope you got that sunshine into your sewing room. I wish I could have sent you some of yesterdays hot weather to melt some of that snow for you.
    Happy creating.
