I thought it would be fun to experiment with a prompt from Illustration Friday‘s recent illustration topic – stripes. I used the trees along our hiking trail as the stripes on my card, and a silly silhouette of a couple hiking together, which is what we do every Saturday.
I also thought it would be fun to revisit a prompt from a summer creative challenge where you drop a blot or two of paint on a paper and draw shapes into it. I went for an Autumn color palette and imagery.
Be sure to check out our Flickr group to see the art Michelle and Sandra have been creating. It’s hard to believe we are on week 44 of 52 for this project!
Very creative Terri! I like the together one the best!
Love how you use your hiking and love of nature to influence your art.
Hi Terri, thanks a lot for commenting on my blog. π
I didn’t have time to write something on yours last time (busy days…) but I really love your style and I’d LOVE to have time to hike as you do. Nature is SO inspiring. Can’t wait to see more of your work. π
By the way, these paintings are LOVELY.
Hi Terri, great job on your illustration projects, they are both so creative. Have a good weekend!
I love the cards! Autumn brings such an array of wonderful colors to use!
Love these! I can’t wait to get hiking again next weekend π
When every leaf is a flower… What a lovely way to say it! I love the colors of autumn – just not a fan of the cold… π
I’ve enjoyed looking at all your art cards lately!!

The second card shows exactly what I’m feeling today. The fall colors are finally here and they are gorgeous!
