New Makeup Bags

Have I ever mentioned that I love to make zippered bags?

I made a new set of makeup bags for myself earlier this fall. My previous set was a couple years old, and still in perfect condition, but I was in the mood for some new colors.

I used my own pattern, varying the sizes, a couple prints from the new Loulouthi collection, did some random zig-zag stitching, and added zippers in contrasting colors.

The smallest size (8″ wide x 4″ tall) is perfect for carrying inside my purse; the medium size (10.5″ wide x 6.5″ tall) is perfect for my daily makeup products; and the larger size (10.5″ wide x 10″ tall) is perfect for keeping my travel goodies. The best part is that I’ve made so many of these zippered bags that they came together in an afternoon. Such a fun project!

  • They”re a lovely set of make-up bags Terri and I recognise your distinctive zig-zag quilting 🙂

I’ve been putting one of your zippered pouches to very good use this last week, it’s the perfect size for holding the kit for my latest hobby!
