One of the (many) reasons Spring is my favorite season is the color Green.
I love the color of new growth.
I love the color of new leaves.
I love the shininess of fresh hostas.
I love the delicate shoots of new ornamental grass, which changes colors as the wind blows through the green blades.
Even the lawn in spring is such a fresh green color.
I noticed that I have at least six shirts in my spring and summer wardrobe, ranging from sage green to aqua. Take time to notice all the different shades and textures of spring green on your daily adventures. Thanks for stopping by!
Ah! Hostas! Another plant I don’t recall seeing much out here in California. We used to have some in KY, but because we got deer in our yard all the time, we rarely got to see the blooms — they’re apparently very tasty! But the leaves *are* gorgeous. 🙂
We have a fenced-in backyard, so no deer problems. But the rabbits sure do love to eat our hostas, and pretty much everything else in our yard. They are a great shade plant and low maintenance.
Love, love, love it. I know I keep saying it but you know the drought is keeping things so brown here that it is so wonderful to see green things somewhere! We are losing the lawn & all of our trees & plants. 😦
Just found your blog and spent an hour reading your posts for the past year. Wonderful – excellent – so enjoyable. You are a delightful artist. Thanks for sharing your ideas, artwork, and words.
Thank you SO much Bonnie! You just made my day with your sweet comments and feedback. Nice to meet you!
I agree, there is nothing prettier than the fresh green of spring! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely garden, I hope finals are going well!
Great photos, Terri! My hostas are doing well this year, too:) Do you know the variety of the pine tree? Looks very soft like white pine!
Thanks Vicki! Our hostas are a few years old and ridiculously huge already! In fact, everything in our yard seems like it’s already overgrown. I think that pine tree is a dwarf alberta spruce.
Hello Terri,
Oh green is such a relaxing colour, my bridesmade had a mint green dress. I was expecting to see Kermit sitting amongst all your greenery. Loved this post because it reminds me that not long ago it was all covered by snow. Amazing.
Happy days.
Bev.xoxo
Love all the greens! I had to laugh, because I just planted my hostas, and they are just little shoots. Jealous of your big leafy ones!
Beautiful pictures 🙂
Terri, I’ve just added your blog to my blogroll.
I realized it wasn’t on the list. 😦 ouuuuhhh. So angry at myself.
