Make Your Own: Handbag and Stuff Baskets

I am excited to share a couple new sewing patterns with you today.

First up is the Handbag Pattern: Ever go shopping for a handbag and can’t find the right size or color or style? That happens to me all the time, so I started making my own, customizing them to go with the season or the occasion. Now you can make your own too with this easy pattern!

This handbag features a zipper closure, two inside pockets, and a piping accent, giving it a professional finish. It measures approximately: 11.5 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall.

You might know that I love to make zipper pouches. My next favorite thing to make are these Stuff Baskets. Use them to store odds and ends, spare change, cotton balls and swabs, jewelry, office supplies, pens and pencils, and more. Features piping on the flat bottom for an added professional finish. Embellish with pretty ribbon or pom-pom fringe.

Pattern includes instructions for two sizes, a shorter style to use as a shallow tray, and a taller style to use as a pencil cup:

Small: 5 inches in diameter by 3.25 inches tall

Medium: 6 inches in diameter by 6 inches tall

My sewing patterns are PDF-to-print, so you don’t have to pay for shipping costs, printing costs, or wait for delivery via snail mail. They will be delivered to your email address as an Adobe PDF file format. You can purchase all of them here, or you can visit one of my online shops.

I have added information about my patterns to the tab at the top of my blog called Patterns.
