Our next project for my Illustration class was to do a collage of a famous person. I chose Warren Miller, who is famous for his extreme skiing films, and for finding a way to become a professional ski bum (my hero!). I knew just the elements I wanted to include in this composition, and I wanted a vintage look, so I did some research and a few Photoshop tutorials to learn how to make everything blend, overlap, and look illustrative.
This project was fun because I learned even more in Photoshop. I am finally feeling comfortable using Photoshop as a tool for drawing and illustration, not just for editing photos. And I’m really proud of this illustration, which might make a great poster or book cover with some type added to it.
Thank you for stopping by!
