My WordPress app reminded me recently that it was my six–year anniversary on this blog. Wow, November 2007 seems like a long time ago! And so much has happened around here in the past six years.

The very first blog I ever read was The Purl Bee. They provide so many original and inspiring projects and products, don’t they? At the time, I was knitting, crafting, and making ornaments, which were a great creative release after a day on my left–brained job.

I started blogging about the craft projects I was making, which led to a new hobby of collecting fabric which led to a lot of quilting which led to a lot of bag–making. Then I decided to take my creativity to a more professional level by going back to school to learn graphic design and illustration, which has become my new passion.

I am looking forward to having some free time to work on personal art projects and crafty things again. (first up, ornaments) I’m also looking forward to figuring out what new directions and new adventures I should take this cherished blog notebook of mine.

Let’s have a dessert treat together to celebrate! Tell me, what’s your favorite dessert treat? (I need to add more dessert illustrations to my banner above.)

Thank you for your friendship after all these years.

  • Hello Terri,

Congratulations on 6 years of blogging. Don’t eat that many deserts lately but on our weekend away I had bread and butter pudding. It was so yummy, my Mum used to make this when I was little. Always reminds me of Winter for some reason.

    Happy days.

  • Congratulations, dear Terri! I hope you continue many more years! Your blog was one of the first I started to follow and I always remember and appreaciate your help when I started my blog. One of my favourites is a rolled and filled ‘cake’. Sorry can’t remember in English.I love to use berries for the filling and whipped cream. Sugar on the roll … with mug of coffee! Hugs! x Teje

    • Thanks so much Teje! I didn’t realize you still read my blog, so I’m thankful you stopped by to leave a comment. Oh yes, I know exactly what you mean with the rolled and filled cake. Yum!

      • Here I am – I don’t leave you that easily. You stay in my reader even it’s now so full of quilting blogs that I don’t visit you as often as used to. I have followed your new path and I’m happy for you to found what you like and enjoy to do! x Teje

      • Thanks for sticking with me, Teje! I think I lost a few quilty blogging friends when I stopped blogging about quilting all the time and started adding more variety.

  • Congratulations! I love Pecan Pie!

  • Congrats on your blogiversary! My favorite dessert would have to be ice cream, preferably on some sort of warm pie.

  • ive enjoyed your blog for years Terri!
i think brownies might top my list. anything chocolate really, but brownies especially.

  • Congratulations on your accomplishments. I can’t remember how I discovered your blog but I’m sure glad I did. Your photography is amazing and I’m so glad we are friends. Warm cinnamon rolls sound good to me right now…

    • Thanks Cindy! I think we found each other through our annual retreat friends in common. I’m so glad we’re friends too! For my mom’s birthday cake, she chose warm cinnamon rolls as her splurge. I love them too, but I think of them more for breakfast or brunch, forgetting they can be a dessert too.
