I love looking back through my own sketchbooks and illustrations for inspiration for new ideas to draw and illustrate. Here’s one of my favorite illustrations, a daily doodle for the month of October which was part of a year-long daily doodle challenge I did.
I really loved this challenge and hope to make time to do this again!
In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which is on my bucket list for 2015, I’m having fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I’ve been trying to sketch A LOT more lately. One thing I’m doing is a monthly calendar, but instead of using it like a diary, I’m using it to do a daily doodle.
For the month of October, I’m going with a new theme centered around the spookiness of October.
As you can see, I usually just fill up every square in this grid, rather than just the days of the month. Stay tuned for my progress!
I’ve been taking pictures over the course of each week to capture those quiet moments, such as this morning moment when the sun was just high enough to shine above our trees, melting the dew on the grass and leaves.
I have a new habit where each morning I try to soak up some sunshine and fresh air before starting my day, to breathe in some peace and quiet. It’s quite therapeutic, especially considering how insanely busy work has been the past couple days. Hope you can enjoy a relaxing day today too!
