Thank you to my new friend Liz Elayne at be present, be here for being so inspiring and encouraging. Her posting today prompted me to share my five really good things for November 15:
1. The card my husband brought home last night: “Of all the things that ever happened in my life… you’re the best.” After ten years together, he still touches my heart like a teenager.
2. Waking up to see both of my knee caps. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and my knees have been so swollen that I’ve had them drained and been on crutches lately. So far so good this week – I can walk without a limp!
3. Vacation days. I took a vacation day to start writing my final paper for grad school. It’s so peaceful and quiet at home during the day.
4. A wonderful email from my cousin Kim, which lifted up my spirit. We used to be the best of friends, but life has put a distance between us. We are rekindling our friendship, and I love her like a sister (even with all our health issues before turning 40!).
5. My new friend and favorite blogger, Liz Elayne. I am just getting to know her but I already admire her, think she is brave and spiritual. Best of all, she is wonderfully crafty and creative.
Hope you find five really good things today.
