It has been an amazing day! I feel so excited to be alive. To begin, we got snow yesterday, the fluffy magical kind where the snowflakes stick together, making them appear huge.

Our patio looked so inviting for an apres ski moment.

With fresh snow, we decided to go skiing for the first time this ski season. It was cold, but the trails weren’t crowded and there weren’t any lift lines, making it a perfect time to be out.

After a warm and cozy dinner of chili, which cooked in the slow-cooker while we skied, I had the time (and energy) to finish decorating cut-out cookies, Dave’s favorite.

Now we officially have lots of cookies for holiday company. Hope they last until Christmas!

Next, I’m working on finishing my ornaments to exchange with my sister and my nieces, which I really need to mail before Christmas!

Time to check the Advent calendar…

…and off to bed we go. Whew!
