TGI-the-Weekend!

I am so glad this week is over and the weekend is here! I had to deal with internal audit at work, which I really hate doing. But I don’t like to talk about work, especially here in my creative space, so let’s talk about something else.

Callie sunning her belly

(Callie trying to get some sun on her belly!)

I am taking an art class today called Silver Art Wear. We are going to learn to cut a raw silver sheet, forge and hammer, file, pierce, and dome, all toward finishing a pair of silver earrings. I have always wanted to try silversmithing, so I’m excited for the day’s adventure. I hope to have some pictures to show you tomorrow.

Darla quilt almost done!

I have also been working on some unfinished projects, a quilt, a table runner, a couple Christmas gifts, just the usual. Enjoy the best day of the week!

  1. I’ve been wanting to make my own jewelry for so long; what I see and want is just too expensive. My attempts have just been sad! Where do they teach the class you are taking? Cannot wait to see it!!

  2. I was looking forward to this weekend too…but so far I haven’t sewed at all! Oh well, at least we have a holiday on Wednesday!

  3. The silversmithing class sounds like fun. Can’t wait to see pictures!
Callie looks a little like my girl, Sweet Pea. Love those fluffy, white kitty bellies:)
