Thankful Friday

Thank goodness it’s Friday. That means it’s time to take a moment to appreciate the big things and random small things I’m thankful for from the past week.

  1. I’m thankful for a fabulous weekend getaway to my parents’ lake cottage.
  2. I am thankful they have extra kayaks so we can hit the water trails together.
  3. I am thankful for a great discussion in Portfolio class this week about self-branding, resumes, business cards, and presentation books.
  4. I am thankful for a fabulous small group to work with in brainstorming a theme for our portfolio show.
  5. I am thankful for my favorite font website.
  6. I am thankful to have Friday afternoons off.
  7. I am thankful for the great people I work with.
  8. I am thankful Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back!
  9. I am thankful for the delicious Salted Caramel Pumpkin concrete mixer at Culver’s. (I can only handle the mini size.)
  10. I am thankful for the Lou Brutus Hard Drive radio show, which I listen to every night.

Hope you had a good week too, and enjoy a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I’m so excited to follow your portfolio progress this semester. Thanks for pointing me to that font website–I haven’t been to that one before. Anything pumpkin–YAY! Why oh why do we not have Culver’s in California?? Oh, and I’m thankful that I have a free day tomorrow while Mark does his football reffing. A quiet house, and the sewing room is organized and ready for me. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Cindy! I will try to share as much as I can of my portfolio progress. I’ve been holding back a few new projects to reveal in my portfolio 😉 is THE best! My favorite place to start looking for modern fonts.

Yes, I’m super excited for pumpkin season. Enjoy having the house to yourself on Saturday!

  2. Hello Terri,

Thank heavens you put the link in for the caramel concrete item. I thought you had a backyard project on the go. Kayaking sounds like a lot of fun.

    Happy days.

    1. That’s funny Bev. I should have said the salted caramel pumpkin mixer is a reference to an ice cream dessert, not a landscaping project. I find kayaking to be one of the most peaceful things to do.
