October recap

Another month of creativity, focusing on my own ideas. I ended up creating a few more illustrations I love and did a little more experimentation.

I made this fun illustration of the woodland animals having their annual autumn soirée. I love doing seasonal woodland illustrations like this so I plan to do another one for winter.

I’m taking a watercolor class with Maria of Art Toolkit, which has been quite fun. I love all the wonderful tips and techniques we’re learning, from color mixing to value studies to glazing, and putting everything together into lovely landscapes!

I made more mixing charts with a few more palettes in my art supply stash. These are so helpful to have for reference and so satisfying to make!

I’m working on a fun series of illustrations for Folktale week, an accordion book inspired by Gore Creek in Vail, Colorado and a few pages in my sketchbook inspired by lots of recent hiking adventures.

Here’s to more creative flow in November!
