Back to School Giveaway: Sketchbook Sets – Closed

It’s back to school season, so I’m giveaway two of my sketchbook sets. Those of you who know me well, or read my blog regularly, you know how much I love sketchbooks. I love to practice graphite drawing and experiment with different illustrations. Lately, most of my pages have been nature-inspired.

I made one set with Marisa’s Meet the Gang fabrics. Her characters are so whimsical and silly; they just make me smile.

I made the other set with Lizzy House’s Castle Peeps fabrics. I love her unique twist on the fairy tale theme  with her illustrations.

Both sets include a large zipper pouch that measures 12 inches wide by 7 inches tall, a sketchbook cover with moleskin notebook, and a smaller zipper pouch that measures 7 inches wide by 4 inches tall, big enough to fit a couples pens, pencils, erasers and other drawing or doodling tools you like to carry. The smaller zipper pouch velcros to the back of the sketchbook cover (just like this set) to keep your drawing tools handy. Everything fits inside the larger zipper pouch, which can also be used as a clutch. How fun is that!

Leave me a comment by noon this Friday, August 24 for a chance to win one of these sets. CLOSED.

Thanks for stopping by!

Giveaway Day – December 2011 – Closed

It seems like ages since I’ve offered a giveaway, so I’m excited to be participating in Sew,Mama, Sew’s Giveaway Day again!

I am offering the book Pretty in Patchwork Doll Quilts which was the inspiration for the mini quilt I also made for the lucky winner (see below). This book is full of 24 projects for making mini quilts in a great variety of sizes and themes.

Along with this book you will receive this mini quilt I made based on the cover project, a Christmas star measuring 19.5 inches all the way around. Perfect for a table topper or centerpiece.

I used that green fabric for the binding and that red fabric for the backing.

I will also include the scraps in case you want to make something else to match your new mini quilt, like a mug rug, potholder or smaller mini quilt.

Leave a comment by 7 pm CST on Friday, December 16 to be entered. International entries are welcome. Good luck, friends!

A Goody Bag

A few weeks ago, I commented on a giveaway post for a goody bag sponsored by little brown pen and Real Simple, and I was lucky enough to win.

A big box showed up on my doorstep earlier this week, chock full of goodies stuffed into a great nylon tote bag.

I found a great cookbook and a handy reference book for reusing and repurposing things you might throw in the trash.

All these other goodies, including letterpress cards, nail polish, a Pottery Barn frame, and a mini calendar, were in that bag too!

These are my favorites, a journal from Lindt chocolatier, a mousepad notepad, a birthday calendar booklet, and those caramel sweets, of which I’m definitely going to have to order more.

Thank you Nichole and Real Simple!
