From My Sketchbook: February and March Doodles

In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which is on my bucket list for 2015, I’m having fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I’ve been trying to sketch A LOT more lately.

I got a little (okay, a lot!) behind with my February doodles so it was hard to get caught up last weekend in anticipation of March. But I’m happy with how this page turned out overall.

These doodles were inspired by some of my cameo jewelry, which I love because it’s so feminine. And the women always seem mysterious to me. I definitely want to practice drawing faces, especially in profile.

Now I’m ready for a fresh month with a new theme for March.

Time just slips away when I’m working in my sketchbook, especially when I have a techno / electronic beat going in the background! I’m on a roll so I’m just going to keep going.

  1. Wow terri this turned out fantastic, I recall seeing the blank version of this with just a few days filled it. It turned out great and even more so you’ve challenged yourself to be creative even in a small way everyday 🙂 which is great. Can’t wait to see march’s calendar . Katie x

    1. Thanks so much! I really appreciate your comments! I’m happy that I’ve been able to keep up each month. I always get excited to finish one month and start the next with fresh ideas.
