Sunday Stash – Metro Market

I can’t believe I found these prints at my local quilting store!  These fabrics are from the Metro Market, About Town, and Mingle collections by Monaluna for Robert Kaufman.  Our local quilting store is huge, and carries a lot of country-style and batik fabrics, but not too many of the modern designers I like.

These are from the summer color palettes.  I was most attracted to the adorable birds with their big bodies and skinny legs, so I picked out four more fat quarters to go with those silly birds.

Aren’t they fun?  I haven’t decided yet what I’m going to do with these fat quarters, but I’m leaning toward either something for the kitchen, like potholders, or something for our backyard patio, like placemats and napkins, for when the weather warms up.

Share some of the fabrics from your stash by joining the Sunday Stash group.

Check out everyone else’s stash at the flickr group.  It’s fun to see the variety of fabrics out there, many of which I have not seen anywhere else.

  • Where have I been? Why haven’t I seen this collection before? I love birds! I will have to wait to buy some though as I just spent a bunch on craft books.
I really do like that middle print too though…..

Oh and that bag/pincushion magazine was under the “What’s New” section so it must have just come out. I didn’t see it when I went to the bookstore though last week so I am not positive.

  • I love the Monaluna line…I can’t wait to see your project!

  • Hi Terry –
I’m so glad you like the fabrics! I’d love to see what you make with them… if you like, send us a photo and we’ll post it on the “inspiration” page of the website.
