A Multi-Category Post

I have been looking back through some of the common topics I blog about here, seeking some inspiration:

On the trails, at the market, in my garden, Etsy buys, Sunday stash, and progress reports.

We went hiking last weekend on a trail close to our house, but I didn’t bring my camera. Since I can’t have a post without a picture, I am going to share a few more pictures from our adventures in New York.

Our outdoor farmers market ended in early November.

Our gardening season is over, which I’m happy about. By September, I get burned out on gardening and yard work. After raking leaves a couple times in October, I am really done.

I have been doing a little etsy shopping lately, so I can’t wait to receive those handmade goodies.

I haven’t ordered any new fabric in a long time, but I did visit this cool fabric shop in New York City. It’s about two to three blocks from my brother-in-law’s office, in the most quaint and quiet neighborhood.

The City Quilter shop

I did buy a couple pieces of fabric. No plans for it yet; I just had to have it. You know how that is.

I haven’t sewn anything new in a couple weeks, so I don’t have a progress report to share. I received a commission request today, so now I am excited to have a sewing mission to work on!

I haven’t cooked much or baked at all since Thanksgiving, so I don’t have any recipes to report on. This weekend I am hoping to bake some sugar cookie cut-outs to decorate, and peanut butter blossoms, which I adore.

Stanzi and Holly, two gray mammals

I will leave you with that picture of my sister-in-law and brother-in-laws adorable kitties. We had so much fun hanging out with them too. Hope everyone is having a good week!

  1. ooohhhh, look at those sweet baby faces!

I’m totally coveting those music prints, there’s even a banjo, which my sweetie is into now (it used to be Martin guitars, but for the last year, everything is about the banjo!)

  2. Love the picture of the bridge…and the tree…and the storefront of the City Quilter…I’d heard about that shop! How fun that you got to visit!

  3. Dear Terri, it’s always nice to look back thru our little bubble space topics to get some inspiration. It’s almost year end and i’ve been thinking and re-visiting what i have done in year 2009. 🙂 Prolby a good year end topic.

Thanks for sharing your walk at the parks, your goodies, your inspiration, things you make, your garden, and bits of your family. 🙂 Each time i come knocking on your bubble space, i always always enjoyed myself and always leave with a huge smile.

Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!

  4. I really love that bridge, and those kitties are cute! I’m glad to take a break from the garden as well; although, I’m not enjoying this freezing cold weather we’ve had the last few days here!!

I’m excited to see what you commissioned project is when it’s all finished!! Have a great weekend!!
