Salad With My Junk Food

When my husband requested appetizers for dinner on Friday night, I was worried about the junk food factor. He specifically asked for potato skins, along with his other favorites, mini mozzarella sticks, pizza rolls, and meat-filled ravioli.

His idea of appetizers is quite different from mine.

I don’t eat a lot of junk food (except for my MnM addiction), so I had to buy salad fixings to balance out the meal.

I added a spinach and romaine mix, tomato, cucumber, olives and feta cheese. Yummmmmm!

A little red wine never hurt a meal, right. Oh yea, and the brownies we had for dessert! Good thing we’re going for a bike ride this weekend.

  1. Great way to kick off the weekend – we had a pasta bake with a garlic cibatta – really tasty. I think your salad looks far more tempting than Dave’s (sorry Dave :-)) but all that cheese would give me a very bad tum! Enjoy your bike ride and be sure to pack a few m&m’s (essential for energy lol).

  2. The salad looks great. Im not eating or cooking fried anymore. However not saying that if it was fixed for me Id sit and eat it all. Love potato skins and have not had them in years.
    Have a great weekend.
