In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which is on my bucket list for 2015, I’m having fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I’ve been trying to sketch A LOT more lately. One thing I’m doing is a monthly calendar, but instead of using it like a diary, I’m using it to do a daily doodle.
For the month of August, I went with a new theme centered around the beach since we made a couple trips to local beaches in August. I really love how this turned out!
I know, the month of August isn’t over yet. I think having a theme got me more excited to keep going, so I ended up finishing this page early. And I filled in each square on my grid, instead of limiting myself to just the days of August.
Stay tuned for the next month of doodles!
Terri

Hello Terri,
Oh these are wonderful, so much to see in your August Calendar.
You will have a fun book to look back on at the end of the year.
Happy days.
Bev.
Thanks so much Bev! I’m really happy with how this month of doodles turned out. Such a great feeling to be this far into the year with 8 months of doodles. I’m already trying to figure out what theme to do for September.
Wonderful.
thanks so much!
What fun!
thank you!
Love your August page and the way the fish swim through the squares. All of them are mini works of art.
Thanks so much, Shell! I really loved doing this August page with the beachy theme. It would be fun to do something more with each square – I might have something brewing 😉
