From My Sketchbook: October Doodles

In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which is on my bucket list for 2015, I’m having fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I’ve been trying to sketch A LOT more lately. One thing I’m doing is a monthly calendar, but instead of using it like a diary, I’m using it to do a daily doodle.

For the month of October, I worked on a theme centered around the spookiness of October. I have to admit that I always have the most fun concepting and illustrating the initial grid with the borders and hand-lettering.

As you can see, I usually just fill up every square in this grid, rather than just the days of the month. And now it’s time to move on to November!

    1. Thanks so much! It’s been a fun daily/monthly project to work on this year. At first I struggled to keep up, but lately I end up finishing early. Can’t wait to see all 12 months together!
