Welcome! If you are here to check out the goodies for the May Day Giveway, sponsored by Sew,Mama,Sew, I am happy to be participating with two items to giveaway.

The first item up for grabs is this honey bun of Snippets fabrics by American Jane. (a honey bun is a collection of 1.5″ x 44″ strips of fabric)

The second giveaway item is this charm pack of Flutterby fabrics by Tula Pink. (a charm pack is a pack of 5 inch 40-42 squares)

Leave me a comment by 9pm (central time) Thursday, May 20. I would love to hear what you are most looking forward to this summer, if you live in the Northern hemisphere, or what was the highlight of your summer if you live in the Southern hemisphere. I am happy to ship internationally if you are surfing outside the United States. I will consult with the Random Number Generator on Friday morning to choose two lucky winners.

  1. What a lovely giveaway. The highlight of my aussie summer was my summer holiday at the seaside with my sister’s family – lots of fishing, walking and relaxing!

    I live in the Netherlands, so needless to say I’m most looking forward to SUN! We don’t get too much of that over here, so I’m looking for a destination for this year’s summer vacation…maybe Greece, Portugal? Lot’s to choose from 🙂

    i’m really looking forward my step-daugther’s visit this summer. she’s 16 , she will be coming all the way from israel , and i do hope to spend 2 full months with her.

    last year i taught her to crochet , this year i’m trying to learn my way into quilting… i hope she’ll like it too 😀

Wow fabulous giveaway, thanks so much for the opportunity.Summer is a wee way off for us here in the southern hemisphere but for winter I am looking for to lovely homemade soups being eaten sitting in the warm watching dvds, crunching on lovely bruschettsa and tappenades with chilled white wine and good company. yeah. The spring will come food will change slightly unil we are back into salads and lighter foods and eventually bbqs at the beach or in the back yard with out best mate again. fantastic times with familes and friends, how lucky can we get.

  32. Summer- well this is the first year my son actually has a “summer” since he just started PreK this year, however I just got divorced, so nothing special planned except going to the river and catching mud cats 🙂 Or working on my dad’s blueberry farm on the weekends 🙂

    Since I live in Scotland I am looking forward to some warmth, as we don’t get a lot of that here! Sitting in the garden with a nice cool glass of Pimms and getting a bit of a tan, and the lovely long light evenings as at mid summer it only gets dark for an hour or so.

  45. How wonderful. Love a give a way. Well this has been alot of work and no sew time. I am still trying to get moved. We have moved to another state and 3 hours from where we were. Lots of change. No internet,TV or anthing at the old place and i have had to stay there for the last two weeks. I can’t wait to get settled. This last weekend a friend and I did get away from it all. It was nice just wished we had taken our sewing machines. Did some walking thru the woods,and some shopping. Sometimes I think working again would be easier. I’m looking for some calm weather. I’m really tired of cold and rain then heat up humidity. I guess mother nature knows what she is doing.

It was a hard summer, husband had an accident, mom had surgery, sister was in bed pregnant and with a 2 year old and a 6 month old hanging, but we had lots of family time and everyone has recovered now! And we ended the summer with a huge earthquake, the country is still recovering from that!

    Wow you have had a lot of visitors,I am so glad our Summer is over and enjoying the beautiful Autumn days. I loved this Summer because we had no day light saving. We don’t need it when we have months of 45c degree days. I hated Summer because we had no rain and it was the hottest on record. 150 years ago they started taking records and this has been the hottest. Looking forward to some rain.

I’m looking forward to visiting our friends’ trailer this summer – it’s up near Sudbury, Ontario so it’s a bit of a drive – they’re on a lake, so we go for rides in the boat, and sit outside enjoying the campfire, and have a delicious bbq or 3 – we may even take a dip in the lake if it’s warm enough!
