Ever since I had a scoop of ice cream a few days ago that had pumpkin flavor and ginger snap cookie bits, which tasted exactly like pumpkin pie, I have had serious cravings for Fall flavors. I swear, it was the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted!
This morning, I am enjoying a cup of this Autumn Spice coffee, which has hints of cinnamon, cardamon and cloves. It is SO delicious! Perfect for a cool day. Now I’m off to find a can of pumpkin so I can bake pumpkin cookies. There seems to be a shortage of canned pumpkin around here because we’ve been to two grocery stores so far, and their canned pumpkin shelves were empty!
I am also looking forward to making a couple more hexagon needle books for my gift stash. Now I see why these little buggers are addicting!

I really want some of that ice cream…I love me some pumpkin, and I actually cheered the other day when I saw that Libby’s Pumpkin was back in stock in the supermarket!
I could do without the pumpkin ice cream, but that coffee sounds delicious! I bet a bit of that on Saturday morning, could help me get my challenge project started!

Have you ever tried making the Pioneer Woman Caramel Pumpkin Gingersnap Cheesecake? It is DELICIOUS! I made it for Thanksgiving a year or two ago and it was just amazing even for those of us who aren’t huge pumpkin flavor fans.
Your little needlebooks are so adorable! It is amazing you have time to make them while still taking classes.
Once you’ve baked your pumpkin cookies and brewed some of that coffee give me a holler and I’ll be straight over!
Would even sit and sew a couple of those needle cases with you :0)

I had a hard time finding pumpkin, too! I ended up buying a HUGE #10 can, as that is all I could find after searching 4 stores.

I love anything with pumpkin in it. We ate at Olive Garden the other day and I was almost tempted to eat the Pumpkin Cheesecake. I told myself when I’m down 10lbs then I’m going to have a slice. Yum! I only have 2.2 lbs left to hit that mark. Yeah!! Your little needle case is so cute. That would be a cute gift idea for my sewing friends. Thanks for the link.
I cannot possibly think of fall yet. It’s 97 degrees here. NINETY-SEVEN! When fall finally decides to roll around though, I’m all about apple cider-YUM!
If I’m not mistaken the pumpkin shortage started last year due to lack of rain. Which they said it would be worse this year. I have not even thought of pumpkin yet. I know when I do I’ll be upset if I can’t get any. I guess I’ll start looking now. Thanks for the warning. I had totally forgot about it.

I remember being amazed when we lived in the USA that pumpkin came in a can – something I had never seen before. Pumpkin is a well used vegetable in Australia but we have to cook it and mash it before it is added to cakes, scones, etc.
