As soon as I saw a couple shops had received an early shipment of Innocent Crush quilting cottons, I placed my initial orders.
Two days later, these lovely fabrics arrived at my doorstep.
I love the youth and whimsy of the story behind the collection, something I always love learning from designers and makers. I love the vibrant color range. And I love the artsy-look of many of the prints because they don’t look so digital or computerized.
The voile, velveteen, and home decor prints aren’t due to be shipped until November. I think I’m going to need a new shelf in my sewing room for this collection!
Oooohhhh… gorgeous fabrics!! That was the one problem I had with working at a fabric store when I was younger: I was always lusting after the product! I would end up spending my money on fabric, but I was making things like simple shades for my windows, seat cushions and bed pillows. I also used to check out the vintage fabric stores in downtown Santa Cruz… such wonderful finds every now and then.
These are great, Terri! I definitely think you’ll need a new shelf!
I have been eyeing those fabrics on line myseif. I agree with you on vibrant color ways and the design. Just love them. I also am trying to cut back on my stash, which I have a long way to go to get it down and these designers are comming out with such great fabrics its hard not to buy. Just keep saying I got to have them.
Wow, Terri! I haven’t been on the computer much lately, and I’ve missed 14 of your posts — 14!!! Even though I should be working this morning, I have decided that I have been working too much lately, and will take time for some blog reading!
I have to admit that I’m pretty jealous that you and Terri (SewFantastic) already have some Innocent Crush! I hope I can buy some come payday. Problem is — I really want both. I haven’t bought any fabric for a couple of months, but AMH always calls my name (just like Amy Butler and Jennifer Paganelli). What’s a girl to do?
I just ordered three pieces of Innocent Crush…I’m afraid when they get here I might be tempted to get fat quarter bundles….it looks amazing on-line…can’t wait to see it in person!
My shop owner said it hadn’t shipped! LIES!! I CANNOT wait to get my paws on this stuff. I ADORE Anna Maria Horner and pretty much everything that she touches. BEAUTIFUL fabric and well worth the extra shelf!
What wonderful new fabrics! I think you’re right, you might need more space! Its just too hard to resist all of the new patterns and colors out there right now!
Innocent Crush, I wonder how they name material!!! They look lovely Terri I am sure they will fit into your sewing room.
Tell me in your last post you mentioned pumpkin in a can, please explain to this Aussie.
Happy days.
Bev.xoxo
Gorgeous fabrics Terri, how fun to get them so quickly. Can’t wait to see what you make with them.
Boy, you really nailed it in regards to the non-computer-generated look – so true! And it comes in voile! I lose sleep thinking of all the possibilities!! And, once again, I cannot wait to see what you do with this!
