Since we aren’t expecting anyone to visit the house, I was excited to put up my design wall again. It hangs in the hallway over some artwork, so I don’t keep it up all the time.
I’ve just been messing around with fabrics and scraps I forgot I had.
I finished piecing my little forest quilt, which I made a different size than the pattern called for. I want to be able to hang it on the wall, but I don’t want it to be a mini quilt. I picked up more batting recently so I hope to finish it one of these days.
It’s been a pretty busy week, since I have three classes this semester. I am excited because I think I’m really going to like my instructors this semester! I already have some homework to do, which primarily includes lots and lots of sketching (fun!). So I’m working on finding a new routine. As you know, the challenge is to make time for everything.
Nice. The first ones look like they would make a cute Valentine quilt!
Hi Terri! I have missed your pinwheeles…but these are not the same I remember… I love those colours!
Your Forest Quilt is going to be wonderful!

I luvs me those trees!! Your time-organization skills inspire me so much, too!
The pink stars are fabulous. And I REALLy like your tree quilt.
Love the trees. Your Valentine fabric is really cute. I wished I would have thought valentines when we were back home for now I don’t have my fabric here. I do love the new giddy that is out. I’m really trying not to buy alot of new fabric but!!!!!!! you know how it is.
I was reading on some blogs that a few are not going to buy new fabric this year so they can get some of theres used up. I would bet they don’t last all year with all the new that I have already seen that will be out soon. I don’t have good control on my fabric buying.
I can’t wait to see what you do with that valentine fabric. Whatever it is it will be very nice I’m sure.
Can’t wait to see your drawings you end up with this year for school either. Good luck at school and enjoy.
I LOVE your tree quilt – when you get round to quilting it you should do little trails through the woods! Meandering pathways lol. Seriously – I love it!
That little love layout is gorgeous and so much fun to have your design wall out.
Enjoy school – I’m also looking forward to seeing what you are covering this semester – It’s always a treat to see your artwork.
LOVE your little forest!! Ps, my design wall is nomadic too.
Looks like you have been busy, love the projects you are working on. Those trees are super cute.
SERIOUSLY jealous of no one at your house! I’ve had my parents for three days (snowed out of their home, stuck between kid visits) and got a shower at mine on Saturday and will have 20+! AHHHH! I HAVE QUILTING MESS EVERYWHERE! Good for you though!! Every time I see your trees I smile. They are beyond adorable π
How fun! Love everything currently on your design wall. I’m feeling a bit jealous because I have no time at the moment for crafting! At least I get to live vicariously through you! π
Hello Terri,
Good luck with your studies. I am impressed with your little forrest, I think a little squirrel somewhere would be fun.
Have a wonderful day.
Bev.xoxo
Your forest quilt looks awesome! The trees are perfect. I am thinking of maybe sticking a design wall somewhere too since we hardly have visitors. I think having the quilt tops hanging where I can see them would motivate me to finish them. π
i ADORE your little forest. it’s wonderful and amazing and perfect! it’s going to have to go on my short list. i love the random empty spots….it adds so much to the quilt.
Those trees are very cute, and would make an adorable winter runner. Where did you get the pattern for them?
