Trail

A great way to ring in the first of October was a hike on one of my favorite trails, especially on such a beautiful day.

The sun was shining, which kept us warm and cozy.

The temperatures were cooler in the woods, which were damp after a week of rain.

I always love the treasure hunt of being on a trail, admiring different leaf colors carpeting the ground.

This particular trail we take ends at the most charming warming cabin, which has an outhouse and campfire pit, nice amenities for the woods, especially when you’re snowshoeing or skiing.

The best part of this trail,

is getting to hide inside my hollow tree!

I thank Mother Nature for every opportunity I get to to spend time outside.

Definitely resets my soul for the upcoming week!

  1. Beautiful pictures!!! We are enjoying a little cooler weather, but we don’t typically get the leaves changing colors like that in South Georgia. Hopefully I’ll see some of that in a couple of weeks during my trip to Mississippi 🙂

  2. Hi Terri! Thank you for sharing your favourite trail! Beautiful photos and your hiding tree is so special!
    Have a lovely week!

  3. Beautiful photos of your trail! The photo of the tree with the leaves is the best!! Also, liked the photo of you in the tree. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

  4. Sorry, I’m playing catch-up as I’ve not been able to get online so easily this week. Wow, sure was worth a mosey through your past week’s posts though because these photos are stunning – love all of those autumn colours. I could live in that log cabin (seriously) and I always adore seeing pictures of you peeking out of trees 🙂

  5. i love that photo of you hiding in the hollow tree. that made me smile.

i LOVE FALL! It’s apparent that you do, too. i had the chance to go with a few friends down to Hastings today to visit another friend and her new baby. (only one week old!) the drive was just amazing. we gotta enjoy it while we can, right? 🙂

  6. BRR!! It looks COLD there already!!! Our leaves haven’t even thought about changing yet (thank goodness!) Cuteness in the cozy tree though 🙂
