Thankful Friday, No. 8

Thank goodness it’s Friday. That means it’s time to take a moment to capture the things I’m thankful for from the past week, to appreciate the big and the small things.

First Robin Sighting 2013

Here’s what I’m thankful for this past week:

1. I am thankful my Angel kitty is feeling better since getting medication for a urinary tract infection.

2. I am thankful to the emergency veterinary office for being open 24/7, and for taking such good care of us.

3. I am thankful my car ran great all week after my husband fixed it last week.

4. I am thankful to my two teachers for their coaching, guidance, encouragement and positive feedback this past week on a few big design projects.

5. I am thankful for used books to add to my design reference library.

6. I am thankful for coupons, especially when buying toner for my home office printer.

7. I am thankful for sub sandwiches for lunch.

8. I am thankful for small pockets of free time I am learning to take advantage of, sometimes by doing nothing.

9.  I am thankful for a thoughtful letter from my mom with some great insight… on one of my notecards. So fun to get letters, especially on stationery I designed.

10. I am thankful to see a large flock of robins in our crab apple tree today. Yippee, I’m so excited over my first robin sighting and the best sign that Spring is near!

Hope you had a good week, and enjoy a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

  • I’m thankful just to be Blessed with God’s Grace to see another day. Thanks for sharing, http://projectsbyMtetar.wordpress.com Be Blessed!

  • Hello Terri,

The Robins arriving sound lovely, amazing how nature goes about its business. Enjoy those new used books, books open up a whole new world, I picked up some great books at the Library sale last weekend, my little bit of happiness.
So glad to hear that the car is still going well and your cat is much better.

    Happy days.

  • What a beautiful pic of the robins! Wonder what they are conversing about up in that tree?!

Emergency vet visits can be scary. We had to do one for boxer last year due to him eating something he shouldn’t have, but luckily he was fine and the bill wasn’t too devastating. Good to hear your kitty is on the mend.

My son loves.loves Subway as do I;) Every time we go into Walmart he tries to get me to go there.

  • Glad to hear that Angel is on the mend and that your car is running smoothly. Its heartening to see that spring may not be far off with the sighting of robins especially as we woke up to another round of freshly fallen snow this morning. Hope your week ahead is full of happy positives 🙂

    • Thanks Shell! We got more snow this week too, so our piles of snow are as high as our mailbox, probably at least 3 feet deep. Definitely feeling more positive now!

  • Hi Terri-
Wow! I have been missing a lot! Sorry, I haven’t been by lately. I can’t believe how your art has been progressing. I’m impressed.
I’m glad your Angel is doing better.
    Have a great week!
