I’m continuing my series on being thankful it’s Friday by appreciating things that happened over the past week and highlighting some random observations. I’m also kicking off the weekend by sharing a new weekend postcard, using one of my own photos.
- I’m thankful my kitty cat Angel is resting in peace now, even though I miss her dearly.
- I’m thankful my kitty cat Callie is adjusting to having the house all to herself these days.
- I’m thankful to everyone who shared their love, sympathy, comfort and pet stories.
- I’m thankful to my boss for bringing a giant cup of Starbucks coffee to work one day this week to cheer me up.
- I had a great time birdwatching this week with my friend’s telephoto lens for my camera.
- I’m thankful to my mom for a box of chocolates for valentine’s day.
- I’m thankful for great conversations with my sister.
- I’m thankful to a coworker for sharing a giant cupcake with me for valentine’s day.
- It was a thrill to see a bunch of my old friends and coworkers from the Apple store. My laptop is being flaky so I’ll get to see them again this weekend for my Genius Bar appointment.
We were house-bound last weekend, so this weekend, we are looking forward to going to one of our favorite restaurants for cocktails and appetizers, getting a whole pile of kitty pictures printed to hang up in a collage frame, and getting our giant world map framed.

I rarely get around to commenting on your blog, but I wanted to tell you that I love your weekly TGIF, and even more so with the addition of your postcards!!
Always impressed by the fact that you actually made the career change to graphic design — living vicariously through you! By the way, are all the postcards in your collection written on, or are some of them pristine?

I’m loving my new graphic design career, so I appreciate your good cheer. It took a lot of hard work and sacrifice, but was definitely worth it.
My postcard collection is about 50/50 – at least 50% of those postcards are written on and stamped and the remaining postcards are clean and fresh. I will take pictures of the other side and share them next week.
I love your weekend photo/postcard… are you planning on adding these to your web-store? It sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Did you manage to get your laptop sorted? Will you share pictures of your kitty collage and framed world map – it’s always fun to see pictures when they are hung as you get the proper scale of the frame then plus I’m just naturally nebby to see how people decorate their homes 😉

The hard drive on my laptop crashed and died, so I had to go to the Apple store to get a new hard drive. Luckily, I back up my stuff all the time, so I’m hopeful I didn’t lose anything.
I will definitely share pictures of our kitty collage and giant world map when they are finished. We hung some new wall art in our guest room that I have to share soon too. NYC fabrics on canvas.
