My Zigzag Quilt Along Has Morphed

I love the button for the zig-zag quilt along, don’t you? I wish I knew how to create these adorable buttons!

It seems like I am always at least a week behind when participating in these quilt-alongs. No worries, though. I finally finished cutting my fabrics, and started sewing the squares into triangles the other day.

But then these squares started calling me (not literally) to piece them into a different patchwork project. You see, I have been diligently working on a line of handmade patchwork products for my up-and-coming etsy shop. I should be focusing on making inventory right now.

I still haven’t even quilted my strip-pieced quilt top from the first quilt-along. That one is basted and ready to go, patiently waiting for me to focus, or to finish my inventory marathon.  Stay tuned – I will share more on that soon.

  1. Those fabrics look wonderful…I don’t do so well with the quilt alongs either…I usually finish, but I’m always late! It will be fun to see what is in your Etsy shop..I keep thinking I should put some things in mine! Have a great day!

  2. I’m so happy to know you have a shop opening up! Can’t wait to see the fabric combinations and colors that you choose and I can’t wait to see that quilt. finished! I know many others feel the same!!

  3. Sometimes my projects take a different direction as well. I like the simple blocks you just put together. I typically take on the difficult paper pieced blocks and then it takes forever to finish. Easier and finished is always good in my book. I do like the zig zag pattern and love your color choices in the one you finished in May.

  4. Haha. This happens to me all the time. I go into a project and end up with something completely different.
I can’t wait to see your Etsy shop when it’s ready. I am sure it will be a success with all the wonderful things you make. 🙂

  5. An etsy shop?? YAY! I’m so excited to see what you list!!! I love your quit top…and I love how you went all “so much for my plans” on it!!! 🙂

  6. Terri, this is so pretty! I can’t wait to see you ~`A la Etsy on line! Good for you! P.S. ~ I love my bag. . . it’s so fun and EVERYONE comments on it! Have a good day!

  7. I can see why those squares were calling to you. That quilt top looks great.

And about that button thing….I’m dying to know how to create them too. If you ever get the skinny on them, let me in on the secret.
