This weekend we made our first outing to the farmers market since it opened back in April. We usually make it to the opener but every Saturday in April and May were cold and grey. Lately, it’s been hot and hotter, which has been a nice change of pace from our eight months of cold.
The Market was crowded as usual.
I was hoping to load up on berries, but there were none to be found.
We saw lots of onions, radishes, and spinach amongst the abundant supply of cheese and baked goods.
The farmers always present such a wonderful variety of unusual colors and varieties of plants from their gardens.
As you can see, I was most interested in all the beautiful flowers!
Those flowers are beautiful. Really like the dasiys. How wonderful. Glad you had a good time on your outing. The markets are in all over I think. Just don’t know how well any of them will be for the weather all over the country has been very different. Either to cold to much rain not enough rain tornados fires and flooding now. I just hope we can still get some good home grown produce and fruit out of it all for I love the fresh better and markets are great.
The dahlias(think that is what those bottom ones are) are beautiful!!
Looks like a terrific market Terri!I have to find our market around here yet. There was a farmer’s market nearby, but then it got hit by a recent tornado last month:( Since we moved here there have been tons of tornadoes. When I asked a local about that, she said, usually it is hurricanes. 2 weeks later it’s official we are in hurricane season!!
So you get snow and I get hurricanes and tornadoes-lol! The weather is crazy everywhere though!!
No berries? We’ve had strawberries for over a month, and blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries for two or three weeks now at least. I hope you get them soon. Best time of year!!!
great pics terri~how’ve ya been?
me, just trying to stay cool in our yucky part of the year here in AZ.
Beautiful pictures! I love your photography skills.
i can’t wait until saturday to visit ours!
Well the beautiful flowers sure make up for the lack of berries! The daisies are my favourite. What a great place to visit 🙂
YAY farmer’s market!! Ours have been open for a while but we haven’t been to any yet. We joined a local CSA for a farm outside of Raleigh and have had more than enough vegetables to keep us busy!
