Happy day – This is the first Saturday I’ve had off in over two months.
Since we haven’t been to farmer’s market since the 4th of July weekend, we’ve been looking forward to this day all week.
I knew there would be a variety of colors to admire.
That’s the beauty of Autumn – colors and surprises.
Some of my favorite flowers are the daisies, sunflowers, asters and mums we see more of this time of year.
I always forget to plant sunflowers, so I have greater appreciation for them at the end of the gardening season. They are so majestic, aren’t they?!
I love the tranquil charm of Autumn’s harvest, from the varieties of squash to mini pumpkins to varieties of gourds.
I also love the vivid colors we see in Fall flowers.
It makes me happy to be able to enjoy my favorite day of the week, and to find this much inspiration for art projects and drawing practice.
This IS great drawing inspiration! You’re making me want to dig out a sketch book….
Glad you got to enjoy your day. I had some classes that I’m taking today, so got nothing done but learn. It hurt the brain to think so much. The pics really look nice. We went from 102 to 56 then 68 to 91. That is how our weather has been the last 4 days. Did get to shut the air off for a couple days which was nice. I love fall weather can’t wait for it. All the pics remind me of fall back home.
Thank you for the beauty!!!
Hi Terri! Every photo is so beautiful and full of great colours! In the first one I see a patchwork!
Have a lovely time!

I love Autumn – I think it must be my favourite season ( I think I say that about them all lol) no, seriously, I think Autumn might be the fav and you captured some of why that is in your pictures – it’s like the grand finale isn’t it. Those chillies look so wonderful strung together and I get very excited to see pumpkins and gourds. We don’t get gourds in this country. My mam tried growing some last year as I wanted to try painting some but the only came out about the size of a garlic which wasn’t really good. Anyhoo – I ramble – your farmers Market trips are always so fresh and colourful!
Ps I’m gonna remind you next spring to plant Sunflowers!
Terri – I love looking at all of your pictures!!! You have such a way of capturing all the beauty and colors! So glad you had the opportunity to visit your local farmers market…and share it with us 🙂
The colours of the produce look amazing! Nothing beats fresh vegetables. Your photo of the pumpkins is my favourite.
Color explosions left and right!!! Those are a TRUE inspiration!!
Your photos are always so beautiful. You have a real eye for color, too. 🙂 I’m also very excited for fall this year, and you’ve captured it here wonderfully. Thank you!
