Thank goodness it’s Friday. That means it’s time to take a moment to appreciate the big things and random small things I’m thankful for from the past week.

1. I’m thankful for another great summer internship experience as a graphic designer for Sapling Events. I will miss working with Jen and Jim, and all the great design projects I got to do for them.
2. I am thankful to have just one job now, after a crazy summer of working three jobs.
3. I am thankful my Portfolio class started this week. It will be fun getting my best work ready to share at a gallery show in December.
4. I am thankful for the simplest, but most encouraging words from my sister!
5. I am thankful my boss loved the latest illustrated map I did for work.
6. I am thankful for several recent orders for my newest notecard collections.
7. I am thankful for a dinner party with friends.
8. I am thankful to my cousin for letting his daughters babysit our cats.
9. I am thankful for a nice phone conversation with my dad.
10. I am thankful for a wonderful letter from my closest friend.

Thank goodness it’s Friday. That means it’s time to take a moment to appreciate the big things and random small things I’m thankful for from the past week.

1. I’m thankful for a fabulous weekend getaway to the lake house.
2. I am thankful for clear nights for stargazing.
3. I am thankful for another payday.
4. I’m thankful for a rare day to work from home.
5. I am thankful for a good hair day! Doesn’t happen as often in summer when the humidity is high.
6. I am thankful for a very bountiful raspberry crop this year. I ate the last of them right from the vine.

8. I am thankful for a new order of Moo stickers and a new set of fabric swatches from Spoonflower. It’s fun to experiment with new illustrations and patterns.
9. I am thankful for a new purse. It’s the first purse I’ve purchased in years. (i.e. I didn’t make it.)

1. I’m thankful for the chance to go to an outdoor art fair.
2. I am very thankful to one of my graphic design teachers for spending a couple hours with me to review my design projects for my Portfolio.
3. I am thankful for all the beautiful lilies in our gardens these days.

5. I am thankful for big and small successes when designing with WordPress.org, html and css.
6. I’m thankful the latest issue of my favorite magazine arrived. I usually read it from cover-to-cover.
7. I am thankful we didn’t get any mail one day this week, not even a single piece of junk mail or shopper newspaper, which just goes straight to the recycling bin.
8. I am thankful for a new flavor of ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s.
9. I’m thankful for new music.
10. I am thankful for a quick summer rainstorm.

• I’m thankful for the dehumidifier in our basement.
• I am thankful for air conditioning to keep the high humidity out of my naturally-curly hair (as much as that’s possible in summer).
• I’m thankful to be able to work on a ginormous computer (not mine).

• I am thankful for opportunities to design icons for real life clients.
• I am thankful for the fence around some of my flowers, which are the only plants not being eaten by rabbits these days.
• I am thankful for alarm clocks since I have to be to work at 7:30 a.m. a few days a week.
• I am thankful for the new Dairy Queen that just opened near our house. They still have great Dilly Bars!
