2015: A Year of Daily Doodles

In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which was on my bucket list for 2015, I had fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I tried to sketch A LOT more. One thing I did was this monthly calendar, but instead of using it like a diary, I used it to do a daily doodle. As you will see in later months, I started to fill up every square in this grid, rather than just the days of the month.

daily doodle June to JanuaryThere were a few times over the past 12 months that I wan’t to give up on this project, but I pushed myself. And now I have this wonderful collection!

    1. Thank you so much, Grace! It was a fun challenge for the year, even though I wanted to give up in June. So glad I didn’t because it’s wonderful to have this collection.

    1. Thanks so much, Cindy! I really appreciate hearing that. It was a great challenge to work on. Now I’m brainstorming a daily sketchbook project in 2016.

  1. You’ve totally inspired me to try this in 2016 – I love how each month has its own special feel to it – I’m sure they all hold special memories for you and will be a wonderful place to revisit in years to come. Do you think you’ll do a daily project like this again?

    1. Thank you so much! I hope you get a chance to try it in 2016. It’s very satisfying to look back at the variety of experiments I was doing each month. I really want to do another daily project, but I want to try something a little different to stay challenged, and to broaden my skills. I haven’t been able to settle on a new design idea though.
